Modern Art Services (MAS) creates bespoke strategies to define and grow new and established collections. Following an initial consultation with the client, we determine an area of focus with long-term goals to develop an art budget and establish a unique collecting vision. Once a direction is established, we assist in purchasing artwork by emerging, mid-career, and blue-chip artists.
CORPORATIONS AND REAL ESTATE
For corporate clients, we specialize in selecting artwork that reflects the company’s core values, culture, and brand, while serving as both a conversation centerpiece and a financial asset. We curate artwork that resonates with the individual tastes of our corporate clients and enhances the aesthetic in office spaces, lobbies, and common areas of commercial buildings. For our real estate clients, we are uniquely qualified to support you, whether you’re building a new project, renovating an existing site, or are simply looking for distinct art pieces to distinguish your company from others. We collaborate with architects, onsite property managers, and designers to identify key areas within the property to strategically place artworks, sculptures, and murals, ensuring that installations are handled to your satisfaction.
PUBLIC ART/PERCENT FOR ART
MAS provides comprehensive project management for real estate developers working in cities with a percent for art requirement mandated on new sites. Based on requirements set forth by the presiding city for upholding art in civic or community places, we will develop an art plan to include strategy, procedures, budget, and timeline. We then recommend artists appropriate for the project or administer an artist competition. Once an artist has been selected, we will handle all aspects of contract negotiations and serve as the liaison between the artist, project team, and client, as well as oversee installation and develop the necessary procedure documentation for maintenance and conservation. We will also work alongside a public relations team should publicity materials be needed.
HEALTHCARE
At MAS, we have the unique opportunity to use art to evoke feelings of safety and calm for patients and their loved ones who are staying in or visiting hospitals, assisted living facilities, doctors’ offices, or recovery and rehabilitation centers.
